Last Week: Lab 1

In class today we will have our last Twitter quiz, and start viewing final projects. I will randomly select three groups for today and the remaining two will go on Wednesday.

As for exporting your website files, I will go over this briefly in class today. Basically you should create a folder on your desktop (named something like J2150CSlug) and save all the files in it that you are putting on your site: word docs, video files, flash files, the sound slides publish to web folder and any jpgs that appear on the site. Then save the actual site as an html file (from the homepage) to that folder as well. That folder (the one you made on your desk top should then be zipped exported to blackboard).

I'll walk through this again in class.

Wednesday we will be getting Pizza. I'll take a vote on what types today in class.
I will come to class at the beginning and collect $, and go get the pizzas while you all fill out your course evaluations (since I cannot be in the room). I'll return and we will finish the presentations and have dinner.

For this week you should write a blog about what you learned in the class and what you will take with you in your future career path (or on the journey to that) if you wrote it last week for your blog assignment that is fine.

Week 15: Lab 2

Today in class you need to have your website ready for my review. I will look at websites and send you back an email critique of them before Saturday night so you can make changes before class and presentations on Monday.

Today you must turn in:

One for the group

-Your sitemap and storyboard
-Your updated budget with completed dates indicated to the side of each portion (make sure you include your story slug).
-Your web address for the project site, emailed to me before the end of class today (6:30 p.m.)

Each person in the group-
-Peer review, available on the class site under course content if needed. Please hand-write or type legibly on the form.

Monday each group will do a 20 minute presentation of their site in class. You might use time in class today to run through this one or two times and decide who will talk about the site. Each person must talk about a portion of the project.

Please email me before noon today if you have questions about today.
See you in class.

Week 15: Lab 1

I cannot believe we only have two weeks left of class. Today in class you will need to work on your projects and we'll have a current events quiz.

Due dates for final project are as follows.

Final project for my review submitted by April 25th before class--you should also turn in your peer reviews, budget with updates, storyboard and web-map on Wednesday. Monday, April 30, we will begin presentations. Each group gets 20 minutes to present their website and take questions from the class. We will be doing peer evaluations of the sites in class.

The last day of class we will finish up presentations and do evaluations.
